Jazza (YouTuber) Career

At age 17, in 2006, he started getting freelance jobs as well as sponsorships. This was just after he completed his high school studies and thus he ventured into video game animation creation. His animations were created using Adobe Flash. In 2011, he realized that the era of Adobe Flash was declining just after the start of the iPhone era. He combed through his own channel and discovered that the most views he got were from his art tutorials. The year after, he created ‘Draw With Jazza’ and started giving art tutorials starting with human anatomy.

His tutorials have garnered success in views and have also attracted people to his freelance animation business. In his channel, he also includes character designs, speed painting, and art competitions. In addition, he has also done some occasional reviews of various art software and equipment. He has a secondary channel named ‘Daily Jazza’. There, he talks with his community about major events occurring in his life. He also gives behind-the-scenes looks into his projects.

Apart from these two, he also has the channels It’s Tabletop Time, where he plays role-playing games with his friends, where he releases cool animated shorts, and JosiahBrooksMusic, for his original music videos.

Josiah Brooks AKA Jazza

He has a cartoon and comic book-like art style. One of his biggest influences in the art industry is Christopher Hart, an artist who has written several how-to-draw books. In 2014 when his channel got 100,000, he decided to stop looking at it as a side hustle and go into it full-time.

He got sponsorship from the CEO of Newgrounds to help him in his venture. In 2015, he got AU$ 100,000 from Google and Screen Australia as part of the Skip Ahead initiative program. Sometime later, he got the chance to join other YouTubers in Los Angeles to work at YouTube space. Together, they produced a series of short films titled “The Tale Teller”.
