He was rushed to the Grandview emergency room on April 4, 2020, after he suffered a seizure and similar symptoms while he was fishing with his friends.
The examination in the emergency room showed two cancerous brain tumors. One on the frontal lobe and the second one much deeper inside the brain.
He was put into surgery on April 6, 2020, and the surgeons were able to remove the first tumor from his brain. He was sent home to recover and the doctors used the time to examine his second tumor and plan for the next surgery.
Aaron was then scheduled for his second surgery on April 22, which was major than his first surgery. The surgeons successfully removed his second tumor as well on his second surgery.
Martens was awake and was calling to chat about the surgery in less than 48 hours after removing a quarter-sized tumor from his brain according to Major League Fishing.
