Music legend Tina Turner steps out of retirement to release a remix of her 1984 classic hit, "What's Love Got to Do with It," in collaboration with DJ Kygo.
Now 80 years old, Tina Turner, "The Queen of Rock and Roll" is staging a comeback to the music scene with a remix of one of her most successful songs. The singer updated her Instagram with the art cover to build anticipation for the new release, which is scheduled for Friday.

The news was well-received as her fans took to the comment section to express how much they are looking forward to the single. According to Daily Mail, the news of her release shocked many because last year, the award-winning artist admitted that she was enjoying her retirement from the music industry.
While [Tina Turner] admitted that she had enjoyed every minute of her retirement since it began ten years ago, she looked forward to the production of the musical, "Tina: The Tina Turner Musical."
The incredible announcement first popped up on the Norwegian producer, Kygo's Instagram page when he shared a picture of them posing together. He included the good news in the caption, saying
"Can't believe I'm releasing a collab with @LoveTinaTurner this Friday! 'What's Love Got to Do With It' is one of my all-time favorite songs."
Daily Mail adds that last year, the music producer released a remix of Whitney Houston's 1990 cover of Higher Love by Steve Winwood. The tune made the Billboard Hot 100 chart, giving the late singer her first posthumous chart recognition.
In light of this surprising development, Billboard has posted a survey to ask the public who they would like to see Turner collaborate with next. On top of the list was Beyonce, who paid tribute to the icon at the 2005 Kennedy Center Honors when she performed "Proud Mary." She eventually got the opportunity to sing alongside Turner in February 2008 at the Grammy Awards.
In 2019, the New York Times had a chat with the Grammy winner, where she talked about life after retirement, her marriage to her German beau, and the Broadway musical about her.
While she admitted that she had enjoyed every minute of her retirement since it began ten years ago, she looked forward to the production of the musical, "Tina: The Tina Turner Musical."
She recalled that she helped the production team by showing the choreographer her stage dance moves and also sharing her experiences with the writers.
In 2018, Entertainment Weekly reported that Turner was scheduled to release her second memoir, "Tina Turner: My Love Story," a sequel to her first autobiography, "Tina."
In the book, she unpacks her numerous health scares, childhood experiences, her two marriages, and most harrowing of all, her son, Craig's suicide.
