UFC Fight Night Texas returns! Texas has been one of the friendliest places for live events since the start of the pandemic, hence it’s only fair that the organization feels safe in scheduling future events in the Lone Star State. The last time it held an Ultimate Fighting Championship live event we got fireworks like the Adesanya-Whittaker rematch with a stacked undercard featuring Tai Tuivasa and Jared Cannonier to name a few.

Since the start of the Pandemic, Fight Nights have been rebranded as UFC Vegas events that exclusively take place behind closed doors at the Apex in Las Vegas. The organization is still not sure how long events in the Apex will be the norm for fight nights but recent live events in Columbus and London might positively affect capacity events for the organization.

UFC plans on introducing UFC Fight Nights to Austin, Toronto, Boston, and more

The last time a fight night was headed to Austin, Donald Cerrone was still headlining cards. Austin was touted to be a possible future event venue by Dana White during the post-fight press conference for UFC 273. Other cities also included the likes of Boston, Utah, Toronto, and a return to New York City.

The Card will take place on June 18th and already has a bunch of announced bouts with the headliner expected to be announced soon. Scheduled flights include Cody Stamann vs Eddie Wineland at Bantamweight, Kyle Daukaus vs Roman Dolidze at Middleweight, and Phil Hawes vs Deron Winn at middleweight. JP Buys, Cody Durden, Julian Marquez, and Guram Kutateladze have also been scheduled to be on the card.

Ultimate Fighting Championship Columbus which took place at the Nationwide Arena in Ohio saw heavyweights Curtis Blaydes and Chris Daukaus headline the event. The venue was packed with 18500+ fans in attendance despite it only being a fight night. If the event at Austin garners the same praise and ticket sales we could very well expect UFC Vegas to come to a halt in favor of capacity crowd events.

Aside from this, the organization also has a non-PPV event planned for the middle of the year when the company returns to London
